Hi Patrick,

What a lovely shirt!! Nice picture, isn't it? Was looking for some usability useful links and arrived here. Can we get your PPT or can you please tell me again some useful IA links on the slides?

Take care,
Gia

Hi Pat,

Good blog entry. I would really like to see your mastery of the Force one day..

Here is a short article further to what you've discussed below.
http://uxalliance.blogspot.com/2009/02/user-testing-for-information-architects.html

I completely agree with your comments about doing research in person. It is cost effective and you do get richer qualitative information. With automation however you get the benefits of sher volume and numbers. Stakeholders and those not directly involved in our profession can tend to have a liking for numbers. We see this as one of the most valuable indirect benefits of using software like Treejack - to achieve a certain level of buy in.

As an update, Treejack will be ready for public scrutiny next Monday 16th Feb as a beta product. Would you (or any other readers) like to try it and give us feedback?

Go to http://www.optimalworkshop.com/treejack.htm to register for an account (but your account won't display Treejack till Monday 16th Feb). Or email me for a video demo in the meantime sam at optimalworkshop dot com.

Thanks,
Sam
