Outdoor furniture
We’ve finally bought some outdoor furniture for our balcony, so it doesn’t look so empty now.
It’s a lovely hardwood set, with two benches and two chairs, with cushions and a matching cantilever umbrella. Got it all from Bunnings for quite a good price (ps: don’t look at Domayne: way over priced!). Now we can actually sit outside and enjoy the summer.
Next item will be a BBQ to fill up the other end of the balcony, maybe a Webber Q if we can find somewhere that sells them.

hi, how much was your outdoor furniture from bunnings? it looks lovely!
Hi Anthea, I can’t say how much it was because I can’t remember. Wasn’t too much.
One thing I can say though, is to make sure you treat it with a good stain or varnish to protect and waterproof it. I sanded back all the wood to remove any rough bits and remove the quick’n'dirty varnish that was on it, then gave it a good couple of coats of outdoor hardwood stain. In the end it would probably be easier and cheaper to just buy furniture that is a bit more expensive but was better protected from the elements.
