Christmas 05

Merry Christmas!

Well it’s our first Christmas back home and we sure did enjoy being here, no matter what we did. Christmas Eve was fairly busy, we went to Mum and Dad K for lunch and presents and spent most of the day there. We delivered our presents, which for this year were pretty much photos from the wedding…for everyone :) We saw Dad’s new car and ended up going over to Aunty Anne’s place to see Nanna. This was Jenn’s first Kennedy family outing!

Then it was back over the east side to go to Mass (including Jamaican carols!). We got to take the baby Jesus up to the nativity scene (thanks Uncle Dennis). On the way back home we drove through the Christmas lights area of Matraville, where all the houses are decorated to the max.

Soon after we got home Rita, Ed and the kids had their present opening festivities. This made us a little sad since we can’t wait to be having our own such traditions in our own home. There’s always next year.

Christmas day was spent at Rita’s, basically a whole-day meal :) Everyone came over and we ate, drank and were merry. We were all stuffed and exhausted by the evening. More photos were given to unsuspecting recipients.

The next day was a bit slow….we were bored out of our brains since there was nothing to do and nowhere to go. But the sales started today so at least that gives some hope of fighting off the boredom….even thought we can’t afford to buy anything!
