Last day as an unmarried man
Published November 25th, 2005 in RamblingsTomorrow I get married!
Was a big day today. We lugged all our stuff over to Manly and checked in (we’re staying at the Radisson hotel, very nice). Jenn’s staying in our honeymoon suite tonight, it’s the best room in the house! 7th floor, beach/ocean views, huge living room and a fantastic spa in the bathroom. I’m staying on the 3rd floor in an “ordinary” suite :)
Then we went off to Chatswood Myer to meet up with everyone to pick up the hire suits. It was a bit chaotic organising everyone and making sure we were all happy with the suits but it turned out ok in the end. We all went to have lunch, and then it started….the rain. It pissed down for about 2 hours and we were all worried it might rain tomorrow. Fingers crossed.
Then it was back to Manly for the rehearsal in the chapel. It was a relief to get things sorted out, I was worried about how things would actually work on the day…like where we stand, when we go here, when we go there etc. But Father Chris was great he told us exactly what to do.
She tried, but Jenn just couldn’t hold back the tears. When she gets to the “all that I have I give to you” part of the vows she turns to jelly. It was very sweet and it made almost everyone else cry too. Let’s see how it goes tomorrow!
After that we went back to the hotel (<5 mins away) to relax and have a family dinner. It was a nice dinner and everyone was happy. And I even got a job offer via SMS!
Well now I’m off to the bachelor suite to try and get some sleep; got a big day tomorrow!
